“Cengio” in the Venetian dialect is the rock, and also my grandmother’s surname. Such a hard head could only come from a stone. This is a small glimpse of the long chain closing the valley where I grew up, the first mountains I learned to recognise. The highest ones are “Cornetto” on the right and “BĂ ffelan” on the left.
